Document of the Week
April 11, 2001 In June, 1972 a biological consultant firm confirms for Monsanto that fish downstream of their plant in Anniston have extremely high levels of PCBs. "We continue to find deformed, sick and lethargic fishes in our collections, particularly at Stations 7, 8 and 10. Since the residue levels
are highest at these stations it is apparent to us that there is a cause and effect relationship."
